About Dear Diary Art Club

Dear Diary Art Club started as a personal creative project, picking up a paintbrush, experimenting with watercolour and creating something simply for the joy of it.

Based in the Suffolk countryside, I take inspiration from the things I love about everyday life. Flowers, old finds, countryside walks, good food and drink, and all the little moments that are worth celebrating.

The “If cats could send birthday cards… they wouldn’t.” card, a lounging cat in a party hat, standing on a wooden sideboard.

But I’ve always liked things with a bit of wit too.

01 The cards

Dear Diary Art Club brings together loose, hand-painted artwork with simple, bold designs and words that don’t take themselves too seriously. Some cards are quietly thoughtful, some are beautifully simple, and some are there to make you laugh.

02 From painting to card

Each design starts as an original illustration before being professionally printed into a card.

The aim is to keep the character of the original painting while making it something you can actually send to someone.

03 Who it’s for

The collection is for people who want something a little different from the generic greeting card. Something modern, personal and full of personality.

Because sometimes the perfect card doesn’t need a lot of words.

It just needs to make someone think,“Yep. That’s so them.”

04 Meet the maker

Hi, I’m Olivia, the artist behind Dear Diary Art Club.

Outside of painting, I’m happiest when I’m doing something creative, getting outside or trying something new.

I love countryside walks, birds and animals, spending time with family, meeting new people and getting involved in things in the local community, oh and of course, cats.

I think a lot of the inspiration for my cards comes from those everyday things. A funny moment, something I’ve spotted on a walk, a slightly ridiculous thought that makes me laugh. You never quite know what’s going to turn into a card.
